Procedure:
- The worksheets Air quiz, Land quiz
and Water quiz (~8 MB .rtf files) are distributed among the students. Students have a first look at the questions and answer if they can.
- In a second phase, students navigate at their own rhythm into the Module A World of Images to find answers for each question.
The page "Help ! How to get around" explains the different ways of navigation and gives links to index and references pages. Students are encouraged to view this page in order to understand where to find informations inside the module.
Next to every question, students will find the thematic icon (or pictogram) of the module pages they can go to in order to find the answer. - Depending on time, students can fill in 1, 2 or 3 of the proposed quizzes. One quiz is about 12-14 questions long.
- In a third phase (possibly in a second lesson), students go through the same questionnaire together in small groups.
They check their answers and correct themselves when needed.
Variant : groups of 2 students swap questionnaires and correct each other questionnaire. - The answered quizzes (12 MB .rtf files) will help the teacher to help the students.
- Students can also go through these quizzes online.
Validation and correction of the quizzes can be made through the "Grade me !" button. Unanswered questions are counted as false.
In the online version of the quizzes, indications are sometimes given about where to find the answer in the module (click on the hints). However each question is not associated with the pictogram of the page where the answer is stated.
