Objectives:
- Navigate through the module and choose a favourite image.
- Read and understand the information given along the chosen image.
- Create a 2-slides power point.
- Make a short presentation in front of the class.
Materials:
- An internet access to the Module A World of Images.
- The worksheet What's your favourite image ? (5 MB .rtf file).
Time needed:
One/two school lesson(s).
Procedure:
- Make the students navigate through the module and choose a favourite image.
- Leave time for eveyone to read and understand his image and the information given along.
- Students create a 2-slides power point which will serve as a support to an oral presentation. (This can be done as homework.)
The presentation can be prepared so as to answer the following questions:
- Why did I choose this image ?
- What does my image represents ?
- What did I learn on the issue illustrated by the image ?
- Does this satellite image give more information than a normal picture taken by a camera ? Why ? - Students make 5-minutes presentations in front of the classroom and answer questions.
