Remote sensing for natural and cultural heritage

Suggestion 1:

The current population of the earth and the large variety of cultures that live in our planet: our cultural diversity. Samples of such cultures that currently exist, or that in some cases have disappeared for ever, are found as testimonies in each one of our cultural heritage sites. Machu Picchu is just an example. Take advantage to explain the diversity of ecosystems that Machu Picchu has: from the low land up to the mountain with almost 3,000 m of altitude Machu Picchu has a large variety of ecosystems.

For this purpose we suggest you to explain the selected samples of cultural heritage sites and to explain the associated satellite images:
Explain to the students Machu Picchu as a unique representation of the Inca civilization, as a unique example of the impressive capacity of humankind to construct such a complex city in such an impossible terrain at almost 3,000 m of altitude in the most difficult peak of a very dangerous mountain chain. Machu Picchu is located on top of one of the mountains of the Andes.
