How to make your own 3D glasses
Materials
- pliable cardboard
- basic pattern for glasses (see below)
- scissors
- clear tape
- thin red foil
- thin blue/green foil
- Sample pattern
Time needed
½ hour
Instructions
- Cut out the sample pattern (including the eyeholes) for your 3D glasses and tape the brackets on to the sides of the first middle section. You now have your stencil for the actual glasses.
- Trace that stencil as well as the second middle section on the pliable cardboard. Cut the glasses out making sure to cut out the eyeholes, as well.
- Cut out a piece of the red and blue/green foil. Make sure to cut the pieces a little larger than the opening for the eyes.
- Tape the red foil to cover the LEFT eyehole and the blue/green foil to cover the RIGHT eyehole.
- For a finishing touch, you can glue the second middle section on the foils to make the construction more stable.
