Anaglyph: Colours
In the whole pallet of colours, you can determine primary colours and secondary colours.
- primary colours: green, blue, red
- secondary colours: yellow, cyan, magenta
As can be seen in the scheme below, each primary colour has a complementary secondary colour.
Primary colour | Secondary colour |
---|---|
Green | Magenta |
Red | Cyan |
Blue | Yellow |
Looking at the scheme, the following can be concluded:
Red + Cyan = Black
Red + Green = Black
Red + Blue = Black
If you look through the red filter of your glasses at a green image, this image will not be perceived because it is neutralised (black). Idem with cyan and blue.
